  Mrs. Conrad was born March 29, 1922, in Randolph County to Robert Hoover and Bertie Snider Hoover. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a homemaker.
  
  Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Grimes Conrad of the home; two sons, Wayne Conrad and his wife, Stacy, and Tony Conrad and his wife, Kathy, all of Lexington; four grandchildren, Kevin, Lindsay, Anthony and Cassie Conrad; a sister, Helen Hughes of Thomasville; a brother, Paul Hoover of Jackson Creek; and a half-sister, Pauline Hardister of New London.
  
  The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mrs. Conrad will remain at the funeral home until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
