1. William1 Wishart. William was born circa 1753. He married Elizabeth Ellis before 1774. Second marriage for Elizabeth. William died circa 1777. 1777/1778. His body was interred.
He was in the Revolutionary War.
"The Roster of Soldiers from NC in the American Revolution, published by the NC Daughters of the American Revolution, in 1932 - shows No. 3743, William Wishart, Private, Col. Armstrong's 8th Regiment, Raiford's Company. Tradition in the family is that William was called to arms to resist the invasion of Cornwallis. There was a battle at Moore's Creek, and William did not come home.".
Elizabeth Ellis. Elizabeth was born circa 1753. She married Edward Harrison , Jr. before 1773. First marriage for Elizabeth. Elizabeth died on 23 Sep 1790. Her body was interred. NC Deed Book I, Register of Deeds, Bladen County, NC. Page 498. May, 1788. This Deed mentions Elizabeth (Wishart), living in a plantation, on the East side of the Great Swamp. See Captain Ralph Regan. [Record #26].
Her Will, Vol. 1, page 20, Robeson County, NC is dated 23 Sep., 1790. The Will names her son Jonathan. She resided in 1790 at Bladen County, NC. 1790 census, Wilmington Dist., Bladen County, NC.
