2. Johann Jacob2 Wagner , Sr. 'Jacob' (John1). Johann was born 24 Aug., 1717 in Oberalben, RheinPfalz, Germany. Prussia? He married Susannah ? circa 1745 in PA. Johann died 1 Nov., 1799 in Rowan County, NC,. now Davidson County. His body was interred in Nov 1799 in Midway, Davidson County, NC. Bethany United Church of Christ Cemetery.
He came to America from Germany, with his brothers, in the 1700's and landed at Philadelphia, PA.
He moved from PA to Rowan County (now Davidson County), NC and settled there.
1760.
In 1760 he received two land grants in Rowan County, NC, from the Earl of Granville. Each grant contained 360 acres and was dated 24 Jul., 1760 for 10 shillings sterling each. The land was situated on the north fork of Abbotts Creek, now known as Brushy Fork Creek.
As time passed, he acquired considerable land holdings and built his "mansion house" in the general area of the present Bethany and Bethesda communties.
25 JUL, 1786.
The Will of Jacob Wagoner reads as follows:
In the name of God Amen! I Jacob Wagoner of the County of Rowan and State of North Carolina being very sick and weak in body but in perfect health, mind and memory, thanks be given to God, calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament. That is to say principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul to God and my body to the earth to be buried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors, nothing doubting as at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God. And as touching such worldly estate herewith it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give devise and dispose of the same in following manner and form.
First, I give and bequeath to Daniel my eldest son eight hundred acres of land and these negroes, one fellow and a boy ____.
Also I give and bequeath to Jacob my son four hundred acres of land and one negro fellow and Sarah a little negro girl.
Also I give unto my son Joseph three hundred and sixty acres of land, one negro fellow one little girl and boy.
Also, I give to David my youngest son a negro wench and two boys.
And I do hereby utterly disallow, avoke and disannual all and every other former testaments, wills, legacies, bequeaths, and executors by me in any way before named, willed, and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty fifth day of July AD 1786.

His epitaph in German reads "Adie - Hier liegen die Gebeine [Graben?] des Alten Jacob Wagner". Translated by the late Henry Reeves, it reads, "Farewell - Here lies the body of Old [82 years old] Jacob Wagner. He was born 24 Aug 1717 and died 1 Nov 1799". Johann immigrated,. Destination.
Susannah ? Susannah died. Her body was interred. Anna Maria?

3. i. Daniel3 Wagner , Sr. or Wagoner Daniel was born 13 Nov., 1746 in Rowan County, NC. now Davidson County. He married Elizabeth Harmon 28 Mar., 1767 in NC. He married Elizabeth Kane say 1786.

4. ii. Johann or John Jacob Waggoner , Jr. 'Jacob' Johann was born circa 1754. He married Katherine? Catherine Younts or Yonts 'Katy' circa 1774.

5. iii. Joseph Wagner , Sr. Joseph was born circa 1756. He married Anna Catherine Cattren ? in 1783.

6. iv. David Wagner David was born circa 1759. He married Katy Hege say 1780. 7 children. He married Peggy Weitzel. 8 children.
