He was captured at Fort Fisher, NC, 15 Jan., 1865 and transported to Fort Columbus, New York City harbor. He was transferred for exchange but died 4 Mar., 1865 at Fort Monroe, VA.
  Martha Jane Hester. Martha was born on 29 Oct 1845 at Bladen County, NC. She married Ollen Munn on 10 Mar 1863. She married William Henry Bryan on 12 Apr 1866. Martha died on 26 Jun 1885 at Bryan's Mill Pond, Bladen County, NC, at age 39. Her body was interred.
