2. Christian² Sechrist or Seechrist (Thomas¹). Christian was born on 2 Mar 1776 at Rowan County, NC. He married Maria Barbara Myers 'Barbara' circa 1801 at Rowan County, NC. Christian died on 26 Oct 1842 at Davidson County, NC, at age 66. His body was interred in 1842 at Thomasville, Davidson County, NC. near.
3 JAN., 1832.
The Deed reads as follows - Know all men by these presents that we Christian Sechrist and his wife Barbary Sechrist, Caty Myers, John Myers, George Myers, Daniel Myers, and Christian Myers, heirs and legatees of Jacob Myers, deceased, of Davidson County, North Carolina, for and in consideration of a bond by us jointly bound in a penalty to each other to make a Deed of quick claim to each and every of their parts laid off in the real estate of Jacob Myers, deceased, by the surveyor for said County we do give grant and convey and quick claim unto our sister Eve Gorden and her heirs all that lot of land lying in said County as being represented as lot N 7". Beginning at a white oak east twenty five chains to a stake south eight chains seventy links red oak west twenty four chains fifty links to a white oak back to the beginning, twenty one acres 850 chains and then all the way, woods, water and water courses with the appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise apportioning unto her the said Eve Gordon to have and to hold all and singular the said lot of land to her heirs and designs forever, and we the said Christian Sechrist and his wife Barbary Sechrist, Caty Myers, John Myers, George Myers, Daniel Myers, and Christian Myers, do for ourselves forever hereafter quit claim and warrent and defend by these presents in testamony where of we the said legatees have interchangeable set our hand and affixed our seal this 3rd January of one thousand eight hundred and thirty two, signed sealed and delivered in presence of: Wm. P. Robards, E. P. Robards. _______George Myers, Christian Sechrist, Barbary Sechrist, Daniel Myers, Christian Myers, John Myers, Caty Myers. He resided in 1800 at Salisbury, Rowan County, NC. 1800 census, but shows 2 males between 10 and 15, 1 male 45 and older, 2 females under 10, and 1 female 45 and older. So, this does not match. This would match his father's age.

Maria Barbara Myers 'Barbara.' Maria was born in 1784 at Rowan County, NC. Maria died after 1850 at Davidson County, NC. Her body was interred. 26 MAR., 1844. Deed reads as follows - Know all men by these presents that I Barbara Sechrist, wife of Christian Sechrist, deceased, heir of Jacob Myers, deceased, of Davidson County, North Carolina, for and in consideration of and bound by us jointly ???? to Eve Gorden to make a Deed of quick claim to each and every of her part laid off in the real estate of Jacob Myers, deceased, by the surveyors of said County I do give, grant and convey and quick claim unto my sister, Eve Gorden, and her heirs all that lot of land lying in said County as being represented at lot by beginning at a white oak east 25 chains to a stake, south 8 chains, 70 links red oak, west 24 chains, 50 links to a white oak. North to the beginning containing 21 acres and 30 chains and also all the woods, ways, water and water courses with the appurtenances to the same belonging or ever anywise appertaining unto the said Eve Gorden to have and to hold all and singular the said lot of land to her heirs and assigns forever and I the said Barbara Sechrist do for myself forever hereafter quick claim and warrant and defend by these presents in testimony whereof I the said Barbara Sechrist heir and ?? of Jacob Myers have interchangeably set my hand and affixed my seal February the 12th day A.D. one thousand eight hundred and forty four. Signed, sealed and delivered in the presents of _______ Andrew Sechrist, Daniel Sechrist ______________________Bar. Sechrist North Carolina, Davidson County, Feb. ??, 1844. + 3 i. Solomon³ Sechrist Solomon was born on 29 Jan 1802 at Rowan County, NC. He married Catherine Catharine? Hepler circa 1824. Solomon died circa 1865 at Davidson County, NC. His body was interred at Davidson County, NC.

+ 4 ii. Margaret Eve Eva? Sechrist 'Eve' Margaret was born on 8 Nov 1803 at Rowan County, NC. She married Absalom Bowers in 1820 at NC. Margaret died on 17 May 1902 at Fountain County, IN, at age 98. 1912? Her body was interred in May 1902 at IN. Phanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.

+ 5 iii. Jonathan Sechrist or Sechrest 'John' Jonathan was born on 19 Sep 1805 at Rowan County, NC. He married Rachel Miller circa 1830 at Davidson County, NC. He married Sally Tysinger on 5 Aug 1858 at Davidson County, NC. Jonathan died in 1880.

6 iv. Enoch Sechrist. Enoch was born on 4 Jun 1808 at Rowan County, NC. He married Barbara Hepler. Enoch died circa 1841. His body was interred.
Barbara Hepler. Barbara was born in 1818. She married Jessie Myers. Barbara died. Her body was interred.

7 v. Catherine Sechrist 'Caty.' Catherine was born circa 1810 at Rowan County, NC. She married Peter Hepler on 3 Nov 1836. Catherine died. Her body was interred.
Peter Hepler. Peter was born in 1810. Peter died. His body was interred.

8 vi. John Sechrist 'Johan.' John was born 22 Oct., 1812 at Rowan County, NC. He married Susannah ? John died. His body was interred.

9 vii. Daniel Sechrist. Daniel was born on 15 Sep 1814 at Rowan County, NC. He married Sarah Small on 23 Sep 1838 at Davidson County, NC. He married Sally Lambeth 'Sadie' on 11 May 1844 at Davidson County, NC. Daniel died on 2 Jul 1897 at age 82. His body was interred.

+ 10 viii. Andrew Sechrist Andrew was born on 5 Oct 1816 at Rowan County, NC. He married Mary Magdalene Hepler 'Molly' circa 1837 at NC. 4 Jun 1854? Andrew died on 16 Aug 1902 at Texas County, MO, at age 85. His body was interred in Aug 1902 at Mountain Grove, Wright County, MO. Hillcrest Cemetery.

11 ix. Ambrose Sechrist. Ambrose was born circa 1819 at Rowan County, NC. She married Christoany Richards on 26 May 1842 at NC. Ambrose died. Her body was interred.

12 x. Susannah Sechrist. Susannah was born circa 1822 at Rowan County, NC. She married Ransom Varner. Susannah died. Her body was interred.

+ 14 xii. Elizabeth Sechrist Elizabeth was born on 27 Jul 1830 at Davidson County, NC. She married ?? ?? Elizabeth died on 28 Jul 1894 at age 64. Her body was interred in 1894. Victor Cemetery.
