3. Rev. John3 Rosier or Rozier, Sr. (Robert2 Rozier, John1 Rosier). John was born in 1603 at London, England. He was christened at London, England, 30 Sep., 1604. Saint Pancras Church, Soper Lane. He married Elizabeth Hillier 'Jane' say 1637. John died in 1660 at VA. His body was interred.
He came from Boston, MA.

He came to VA, first recorded in 1637.
23 Oct., 1650.
On 23 October 1650, John ROSIER received a Patent for 550 acres in Northumberland County.
"To all etc. Whereas etc. Now Know yee that etc. the said Sr. Wm. Berkeley etc. give and grant unto said John Roseir five hundred and fifty acres of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Northumberland abutting Northerly upon the Bay side that leads up to a creeke Called by the Natives Attapin on the westernmost side of the Easternmost Swamp Next Potomeck river Southerly and Easterly upon the Maine woods and westerly towards the head of this Said Creeke The sd Land being due unto the Said Jno Rosier by and for the Importation of Eleven persons into the Colony etc. To have and to hold etc. which payment is to be made Seven years after is' Date hereof etc. Dated ye 23d of Ober 1650.

He succeeded the Rev. William Cotton of Hangar's Parish in Accomack County, VA. He then moved his wife and son 39 miles up the Rappahannock River and settled on what became Rosiers Creek in Westmoreland County, VA on his land grant of 28 Nov., 1657 which he called "Attopin". John immigrated, circa 1637. Destination.
Elizabeth Hillier 'Jane.' Elizabeth was born say 1603 at England. She married Thomas Solly. She married Anthony Bridges say 1630. Elizabeth died circa 1659. Her body was interred. Her common name was Jane.
