Birthday written in family Bible owed by father, John Franklin Raybon. Bible later owned by Murch Butler, granddaughter of JFR. Information provided by Kenneth Butler, son of Murch.
Date of birth in father's Bible and on death certificate indicates birth year as 1879. Death certificate also lists date of death as November 11, 1937. She died during or shortly after surgery; there was spectulation that she was allergic to ether which may have been used as during the surgery.

Listed as member of Salem Baptist Church in Bennettsville, SC as of August 1898; left for a Baptist church in Lumberton, NC in February 1903.

Miss Lummie, as she was known in the community of Tar Hee, NC, was a midwife. She delivered many children in the area including the children of Frank and Lenora Jane Priest; their daughter Sarah Ellon Priest married Willie Hilburn, Miss Lummie's second son.
