She married Oscar Lee Carpenter on 12 Aug 1939 at Bennettsville, SC. She and Oscar Lee Carpenter were divorced on 3 Nov 1966. She died on 25 Jun 1987 at Hamlet, Richmond County, NC, at age 69. She was buried at Rockingham, NC.
Oscar Lee Carpenter was born on 10 Feb 1918 at Rock Hill, SC. He died on 12 Aug 1969 at Pine Hurst, Moore County, NC, at age 51.
