5. Valentine4 Long (George3, Jacob2, John1). Valentine was born 26 Sep., 1802 at NC. He married Phrana or Franney Yorkey circa 1823. Valentine died 7 Jun., 1875 at IA. His body was interred in Jun 1875 at Appanoose County, IA. Dale Cemetery.
In Sep., 1849 Valentine Long's family his brother Jacob A. Long's family, Jacob's mother, Andrew's wife and Mary's husband, Andrew's in-laws, the Everman's, the Henderson's and possibly other families left IN for IA in search of good and cheaper land. They lived in Center Township, Appanoose County, IA during the 1850 and 1860 Censuses.
Phrana or Franney Yorkey. Phrana was born circa 1802. Phrana died. Her body was interred at Appanoose County, IA. Dale Cemetery.

6. Anna Maria4 Long 'Polly' (George3, Jacob2, John1). Anna was born on 30 Apr 1805. She married George David Berrier 'David' say 1826. Anna died on 9 Apr 1863 at age 57. Her body was interred in Apr 1863 at Augusta, IA. Old Augusta Cemetery, near Burlington.
George David Berrier 'David.' George was born 15 Oct., 1800. George died 19 Jun., 1864. His body was interred at Augusta, IA. Old Augusta Cemetery, near Burlington. He and his family moved from NC to IN, then to IA and then back to Newton, NC. Most of his children remained in the west where they were married.

7. Jacob A.4 Long (George3, Jacob2, John1). Jacob was born circa 1825 at NC. 1825-1826. He married Mary A. ? 'Polly.' Jacob died. His body was interred.

He lived in Bluff Creek Township, Monroe County, IA during the 1850 and 1860 Censuses. Family #575, 1860 Census. In the 1856 Census of Jacob A. Long household, William Long, age 23 and son of Valentine was living or visiting in Jacob's home. An unknown person was employed Farmer B--.
Mary A. ? 'Polly.' Mary was born at IN. Mary died. Her body was interred.

9. Nancy4 Long (Jacob3, Jacob2, John1). Nancy was born on 12 Apr 1812 at Rowan County, NC. She married Reuben Smith circa 1840. Nancy died on 30 Aug 1848 at Davidson County, NC, at age 36. Her body was interred in 1848 at Davidson County, NC. Jersey Baptist Church Cemetery.
Reuben Smith. Reuben was born on 17 May 1813 at Rowan County, NC. 12 Apr., 1812? He married Amanda J. Long on 2 Nov 1852 at Davidson County, NC. Reuben died on 18 Oct 1857 at Davidson County, NC, at age 44. His body was interred in 1857 at Davidson County, NC. Jersey Baptist Church Cemetery.
