Elizabeth Carol Kleinert, 60 Passed Away: 12/21/2008Elizabeth Carol Kleinert (née Clinard) died Sunday, December 21 after an extended illness at her home near Cornelia, Georgia. She was born Christmas Day, 1947 in High Point, North Carolina to the late Edwin N. and Merlene Morris Clinard. She graduated from High Point Central High School where she received Governor's School Honors in Orchestra. She earned a degree from Guilford Technical Community College of Jamestown, NC in graphic arts and was employed by the High Point Enterprise newspaper for some years before moving to Atlanta, Georgia to continue her career in the print advertising industry. She was an accomplished pianist, organist, and vocalist having performed at many church services and weddings. She is survived by two brothers J. Keith Kleinert and Mark S. Clinard, their wives, and six nieces and nephews. Family and friends will receive visitors at Hillside Memorial Chapel and Gardens on Ga. Highway 197 in Clarkesville Tuesday, December 23 from 5-7 PM. The Rev. Charlie Green will preside over a memorial service which will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel. The burial will be in the family plot in North Carolina on Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to Shayne Snyder Hall Scholarship Fund, Wingate University Office of Resource Development, Campus Box 3071, Wingate, NC 28174 to further education within the Department of Music.
